Meteors Go South of the Border for Hired Help

Fort Erie marks the first junior hockey coaching stop for Olivia Ellis who joins the Meteors from the New Jersey Titans organization where she was the Assistant Hockey Director for the Girls program.  Prior to her time in New Jersey, Ellis was an Assistant Coach at the collegiate level with the NCAA Division III Castleton University Spartans’ Women’s ice hockey team in Castleton, VT.

Prior to her coaching career Ellis laced up the skates for 106 career games for the Oswego State Lakers(SUNYAC). Finishing with 109 points on 43 goals and 66 assists. She was a member of the ECAC West All-Rookie team in 2015 and ECAC West All-Academic teams in 2016, 2017 and 2018). She was the Lakers team captain during the 2017-18 season and was the three-time Oswego State Women’s Ice Hockey Most Valuable Player in 2016, 2017 and 2018. Ellis is the Lakers All-Time Point Leader (goals and assists).

Orignally from Kitchener, Ontario, Ellis moved to Wilcox, Saskatchewan to attend Athol Murray College of Notre Dame where current Meteor Kevin Gould also played. Ellis will be the Meteors Skill Development Coach along with the Director of Youth Hockey. We would like to welcome Olivia to the Meteor family!
